One weird thing about getting to Anapala was that the road to Anapala stopped a few meters short of connecting to the main road - we had to drive over the short stretch of grass to get there! There were lots of other hilarious half-assed things in Niue as well, such as a road sign warning of a slope. It looks like they ordered the sign showing the slope in the wrong direction, so they rotated the sign 90º, which made it look like the car was climbing up a wall. I should have taken a photo of the sign.
